A Week Later
Sabbatical DAY 7
Women are sharing and bringing light to a myth that getting married is a life goal. In my mind, a life goal is one that makes an impact on the community you live in. If along the way while a woman helps to create free energy, a sustainable food system, caring for our biodiversity, and reaping the benefits of being a divine being on earth, they may meet a person or more whom amplifies their impact and life experience - then sure, marriage is a commitment they may choose to make. Not making a commitment does not devalue the live and card a partnership creates.
My hope in the next couple of months is to reduce my body’s cortisol levels and get yo know the new Crystal evolving inside bursting to get out.
I imagine sometimes about the Crystal in my 20’s and 30’s that never got to emerge because of social pressures. But then I look over at my 21 and 19 year old daughters and am thankful 8 can see her in them.
After a full week of life without design client work to take my focus away from my own life, I am now able to see a light into a path and business that can provide enough income and instead of losing myself, sharing and lifting others out of valleys of despair that the patriarchy system pushes everyone into… yes, CIS gendered men as well as snuffed and reduced to generic roles as well. I want to plan for wonder a world that each life is valued and has the right to self determination.
